Robert and Helen took stewardship of The Dipping Lugger in 2018. A former manse which dates back to 1789, and was partially rebuilt by Thomas Telford in 1829, we have lovingly and painstakingly restored into a luxury retreat and restaurant overlooking the shores of Loch Broom. Our eighteen cover restaurant features 'The Tasting Room'; an intimate two table dining room that doubles as a gin sampling room, where guests can enjoy a dram of our own award winning 'Seven Crofts'.
We have been blessed to work with some truly inspirational people along the way to realise our dream, from Eve's interior design wizardry, to Simon's shutters and that front door, Jamie's green fingers, Charlotte's artistry, David's bespoke pottery glazed using the very rock we stand on and everyone in between, our joiners, builders, electricians, plumbers and decorators, we wanted to create something that we and our children could be proud of…something we are proud to share with you.
